I was drawn to supporting women as a postnatal doula because I had two very different experiences after the births of my own babies.

I know first hand the difference that having what I call a ‘mothermoon’ can make.

After the birth of my son, I tried jumping back into ‘normal’ life again too quickly which resulted in feeling tired and sore and left me feeling emotionally low. It took a long time to feel healthy and well again.

When my daughter was born, I planned a 'mothermoon'. For the first few weeks after she was born I focused on resting, nourishing myself and getting to know my new baby and I felt so much better for it both physically and emotionally.

I want you to experience the benefits of a 'mothermoon' too!

Both of my children were born in Lewisham and having lived in the area since 2013, I have a wealth of knowledge about the support and services available to new parents in south east London.

I have experience supporting first, second and third time parents, families with multiples and babies with special needs.

I am also an experienced antenatal teacher who has supported nearly four hundred parents to prepare for birth and early parenthood. And I am a breastfeeding peer supporter where I provide a listening ear and support women with the information they need to overcome challenges relating to both breast and bottle-feeding. These experiences combine to form a wealth of knowledge about new mothers, babies and families.

I have access to a range of support and services that you may find helpful postnatally such as a lactation consultant, postnatal massage, nutritional therapy, counselling, placenta specialist, closing the bones, homeopathy, naturopathy and baby massage.

In my free time I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family, foraging, fermenting and cooking and getting in touch with my inner granny by knitting, doing cross stitch and macrame. I love great food, a strong gin and tonic and kitchen dance parties!
